Sample Services

When you begin your search for the perfect wedding ring it is unlikely that you will know the exact style, width or depth of ring you're after. Alternatively you might like to see how it looks in the flesh before you commit to buying. To make selection easier, we offer a sampling service available on most of our rings.

Please note: We cannot ship Titanium, Zirconium, Black Zirconium or Two Tone sample rings outside of the UK.

How It Works

  1. We charge a fully refundable deposit per ring, depending on type:

    Shaped
    £10.00

    Please note: Plain, Diamond, Shaped and Decorative rings are sent as a silver equivalent. Modern metals (e.g. titanium) are sent like-for-like. Diamond set samples include substitutes; two tone samples use plated inlays rather than solid.

  2. A non-returnable delivery charge of £15.00 covers fully insured returns.
  3. Sample ring(s) dispatched within 1–2 weeks.
  4. Return within 7 days (21 days for EU / International orders).
  5. Deposit refunded on safe receipt — subject to our terms and conditions.
  6. Order the real ring and save £10 at checkout with code SAMPLES.

Sample Ring Sizes

Most samples are sent in your chosen ring size, though some may only be available in the nearest size:

  • Plain — sent in your exact size.
  • Decorative — nearest size, plus a plain ring in your exact size.
  • Shaped — nearest size, plus a plain ring in your exact size.
  • Diamond Set — nearest size, plus a plain ring in your exact size.
  • Titanium / Zirconium / Black Zirconium — nearest size, plus a metal ring sizer in your exact size.
  • Two Tone — nearest size, plus a metal ring sizer in your exact size.

Sampling Service Terms and Conditions

All sample rings must be returned to Wedding-Rings.co.uk (Hathaway Styles Ltd) in the same condition as sent. UK customers must return within 7 days; EU/International customers within 21 days, unless otherwise agreed, to: .

Failure to return on time or without a valid Royal Mail tracking number will result in an invoice for the full ring value less your deposit.

Rings returned in a damaged condition will incur a re-finishing charge or, in extreme cases, an invoice for the full value less your deposit.

Sampling Service Returns Procedure

How to return your sample:

  1. Place all original contents into the postal box supplied.
  2. Slide the postal box into the pre-paid returns sleeve.
  3. Hand over at a Post Office and keep your receipt.
  4. Allow up to 5 working days after we receive the rings for your deposit to be refunded to your card.
