Palladium is a relatively new precious metal that now has an official hallmark. Palladium shares many of the same qualities as platinum such as its colour and purity (95%) and is often dubbed as the sister metal of platinum. Another bonus with palladium is that it is cheaper than platinum this is due to palladium having a lower commodity price and being a slightly lighter metal as well.
